ABOUT THE EVENT

CrossFit Galway are delighted to announce that ‘War of the West’ will take place on the 21st January 2017. This is a scaled pairs competition over a 1-day event. Teams will consist of two athletes – men’s teams with 2 men, women’s teams with 2 women. There will be 2 divisions (Scaled Men & Scaled Women) with 24 teams in each; 3 WOD’s with the top teams making it to the final.
This competition will be a fun challenging day suitable for all scaled athletes.
Guidelines for weights to be expected are as follows:
• Thrusters: 40/25kg
• Shoulder to OH: 40/25kg
• Front Squats: 40/25kg
• Deadlift: 90/60kg
• Power Clean 45/30kg
• Box Jumps: 24”/20”
• Russian KB Swings: 24/16kg
• Goblet squats: 20/12kg
• KB Thrusters: 20/12kg

* Please note that the above are guidelines and not all of these movements will be used on the day
** More advanced movements may be used in the final
Both members of each team MUST be at a scaled level and have NOT competed in or be eligible for Intermediate or Advanced competitions.
All registrations need to be completed by 12th January 2017
(There will be NO refunds and you may NOT switch divisions after registration, so please choose wisely)
