ABOUT THE EVENT

Top level athletes from all over Europe travel to Basel, Switzerland in order to compete at the Are You Tough Enough since its first edition in 2012.

In these three editions, we’ve featured multiple Regionals athletes, as well as CrossFit Games competitors.

It is one of the hardest competitive fitness challenges in Europe.

There is no qualification for this competition.
Athletes are invited by Ramon Gysin – CrossFit L1 Staff, contributor of The Training Plan by Jami Tikkanen, CrossFit Strongman Staff, Head Coach and owner of CrossFit Basel. You can also send an application, if you would like to compete – further instructions about this will follow.

Every year, there’s a total of around 50 athletes trying to find out if they’re tough enough.

The goal is to find the toughest. Therefore the athletes are tested in the different disciplines of competitive fitness. The competition lasts three days and is divided into different events.

Programming is done by Ramon Gysin. Traditionally, it includes one outdoor event and heavy weights.
